I hit my target!

It took some sunshine, ( i wish i could spend every day sunworshipping, it just makes me happy!) i stepped up the gym time and obviously stuck with the lollies!

A week ago i employed a personal trainer, my first session was Saturday, oh my goodness, and i thought i worked hard in the gym, ha ha! It took me four days to be able to walk down the stairs again without saying 'Ow' on ever single step! My weak point is definately my bottom half, i suppose I am what you would call a 'pear' shape, oh how I hate that term! Well it was lunges and squats a-go-go! With upper body light weights to try and even out my body shape. I shall put up a series of exercises on the 'weight loss tips' page that I have been enduring.

So now that I have just about managed to lose the weight, i need to keep it off! My worst time is definately in the evenings when i get in, I always have a glass of water and a lolly whilst doing the housework. One tip the personal trainer gave me was to replace potatoes and pasta with a new 'super grain' called Quinoa, it looks similar to cous cous but is higher in protein and lower in carbohydrates. (i found it in Waitrose & tesco's)

Information I found on Quinoa:

Quinoa was of great nutritional importance in pre-Columbian Andean civilizations, being secondary only to the potato, and was followed in importance by maize. In contemporary times, this crop has become highly appreciated for its nutritional value, as its protein content is very high (12%?18%), making it a healthful choice for vegetarians and vegans. Unlike wheat or rice (which are low in lysine), quinoa contains a balanced set of essential amino acids for humans, making it an unusually complete protein source.[4] It is a good source of dietary fiber and phosphorus and is high in magnesium and iron. Quinoa is gluten-free and considered easy to digest. Because of all these characteristics, quinoa is being considered a possible crop in NASA's Controlled Ecological Life Support System for long-duration manned spaceflights

My name is felicity, I started Lose Weight Lollies just over a year ago, I was out in America and got to try one of these lollies, I fell in love! I have always had weight issues starting way back when I was at school, it's so easy to put weight on, all it seems to take is a pack of crisps and a momment of weakness in the sweet isle, one of my friends delighted in telling me once,

"a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips"

well there is nothing more true than that comment! That is why when i tried those lollies I knew they could be that extra helping hand to so many people.

I seem to have an addiction to sour sweets, hence cherry are my favourite! I have lost 2 stone over the past year and am on track to be my goal weight by August. The lollies have really helped me, I am a firm believer of everything in moderation, if you starve yourself of something then you just want it even more, with the lollies you can have a bit of everthing because you need so much less of everything to satisfy you. Even if you purely use them to replace that mid morning snack or the comfort eating on the sofa whilst watching the tv, they have so few calories in comparison to normal snacks, they take ages to eat and then you feel full after they are an all round winner.

I truly believe in these lollies which is why I started to sell them. I have decided to start a blog so that my memebers know a little bit more about me and so that I have to stick to my diet because now i know people could be reading I have to make a bigger effort to lose the weight.

3rd June 2009 - weight 9st 6lbs
